Abandon the Bed and Get Wet in the rain

I wanted to drench myself in the rain. The rain came like a thief at midnight. The north-east monsoon has started with all its might and beauty. Occasionally a flash of lightning followed by a thunderbolt shook me and made me awoke. Truly I wanted to get wet in the rain. But that was only a wish. Instead I was comfortably lying on my bed and listening to the sound of the rain. The haunting question was that how could I get the true experience of the rain. I did not want to shelve my comfort zone- my bed ! This is the real struggle; a war between the flesh and the spirit. If I really want to have that ethereal experience, I must abandon the earthly comforts of the flesh. Nail them on the cross so that I will have the heavenly experience of the rain.

വെളിച്ചത്തിന്റെ മക്കളാവുക ! മറ്റൊരർഥത്തിൽ വെളിച്ചമാവുക, പ്രകാശമാവുക എന്നൊക്കെ പറയാം. ആലങ്കാരികമാണോ ഈ പ്രയോഗം? അല്ല എന്നാണെന്റെ പക്ഷം. പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പദാർത്ഥങ്ങളും പ്രകാശകണങ്ങളായി വിഘടിക്കപ്പെടാവുന്നവയാണ്. സത്യത്തിൽ പ്രകാശം തന്നെയാണ്. എന്നാൽ ചില പ്രത്യേക കാന്തികാകർഷണ വലയത്തിൽ പ്രകാശം സാന്ദ്രീഭവിച്ചു ഘനരൂപങ്ങളായി മാറുന്നു. ഋണാൽമകമായ കാന്തികാകർഷണം പദാർത്ഥത്തിന്റെ പ്രകാശഗുണത്തെ കുറച്ച്‌ തമോമയമാക്കുകയും ധനാല്മകാകർഷണം അതിനെ പ്രോജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഈ പ്രപഞ്ചനിയമത്തിനു മനുഷ്യനും വിധേയനാണ്. ഋണാൽമകമായ തിന്മയുടെ ആകർഷണം അവനെ/ അവളെ തമോഗുണമുള്ളവരും ധനാല്മാകമായ നന്മയുടെ ആകർഷണം പ്രകാശമുള്ള വരും ആക്കി മാറ്റുന്നു. ഈ പ്രകാശം നമ്മുടെ മുഖത്തും ശരീരത്തിലും പ്രതിഫ ലിക്കുന്നത് ആർക്കും കാണാവുന്നതാണ്.
